One person was killed and four people were injured in a shooting in East Cleveland Saturday morning, Police Chief Kenneth Lundy confirmed to 3News.
According to Lundy, the four victims were taken to a hospital after being shot near Euclid Avenue and Taylor Road. The police chief did not have any information on the status of their injuries.
Lundy said "a couple" arrests have been made as part of the investigation, though police have yet to confirm if those arrested was involved in the shooting. No charges have been filed.
Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations detectives were on the scene and awaiting a warrant to enter a boarded-up building at 15449 Euclid Ave. where the shooting took place, Lundy said. Lundy believes the shooting may have occurred during an after-hours party.
"These types of gatherings, obviously the propensity for something bad happening is pretty high, especially 5 o'clock in the morning," Lundy said. "It's trouble. Nothing good is going to happen at that time in the morning."
