EUCLID, Ohio — Detectives with the Euclid Police Department have arrested two men on Monday accused of discharging weapons in public and causing a panic.
According to officials, on Monday, November 8, shots were fired near Memorial Park- located close to Euclid High School, Euclid Public Library, and Euclid City Hall, by an unknown individual.
No one was injured and Euclid High School students had already been dismissed for the day, however, out of an abundance of caution, Euclid School District officials put Euclid Middle School into a modified lockdown.
Immediately following the incident, local law enforcement officials located two male suspects outside of the library who were in possession of two stolen handguns.
The 18 and 19-year-old men were taken into custody and the modified lockdown at Euclid Middle School was lifted at 3:10 p.m.
The matter remains under investigation by the Euclid Police Department. No other information is available at this time.
