SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The two men found dead inside a South Euclid home following a SWAT standoff Saturday were the sons of Richard Warn, a doctor who was found murdered inside his Beachwood home Thursday.
Police found 29-year-old Mark Warn and 31-year-old Michael Warn dead inside an Elmwood Road home following a 12-hour standoff with SWAT officers that began Friday night. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examined ruled that both died by self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Officers were about to knock on the door to execute a search warrant when shots were fired.
The home was owned by Richard Warn, but police would not disclose why they wanted to search the property. Richard Warn was found dead inside his Brentwood Road home in Beachwood Thursday night. He had been shot several times.
A large portion of the South Euclid home was destroyed during the standoff. No officers were injured.
