SOLON, Ohio — A missing Solon man who was reported last week has been found dead, according to an update from authorities.
Solon police say the body of 40-year-old Michael Powidel was located in Lake Erie by the U.S. Coast Guard.
"Solon detectives helped to make the identification of Mr. Powidel in the vicinity of the Edgewater boat ramp with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office staff," according to an update from Solon police Monday morning. "This remains an active investigation, although there are no clues indicating that anything criminal has taken place."
Powidel was reported missing after last being seen leaving his home on Arbordale Lane on Tuesday, May 2.
