CLEVELAND — While much of Northeast Ohio is under an Air Quality Alert, many events are being canceled across the region. The cancellations and closures come as smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing "very unhealthy" conditions.

Cuyahoga County
Cleveland
- Lunch in the Lane, Family Fun Night and Run Club are all canceled for Thursday.
- Steamship William G. Mather at the Great Lakes Science Center is closed
Cleveland Heights
- Tonight's Cedar Fairmount concert featuring Rachel Brown & The Beatnik Playboys has been canceled
WEDNESDAY
Cuyahoga County
Cleveland
- State of the County Address at Jacobs Pavillion has been canceled
- Wade Oval Wednesdays concert featuring Carlos Jones has been postponed until Wednesday, Aug. 23
- Downtown Cleveland events canceled including

- Warehouse Wednesday
- Walnut Wednesday
- Gigs on the Green
- Lakefront Leagues
- Steamship William G. Mather at the Great Lakes Science Center is closed
- Cleveland Force Soccer Club canceled tryouts, moving them to June 29
Cleveland Heights
- Cumberland Pool closed
Lakewood
- Refuse and recycling collection has been suspended for the day across the city of Lakewood.
Parma Heights
- The Parma Heights Pool is closed on Wednesday, June 28. All baseball, softball and t-ball games in the city have also been canceled.
Solon
- Solon Municipal Pool and Solon Community Center outdoor pools closed
Shaker Heights
- Shaker Height's Public Works Department has suspended all services except for trash collection.
University Heights
- Purvis Park Pool closed to the public
Lake County
Eastlake
- Tonight's Lake County Captains game has been canceled.
Painesville
- Concert in the Park featuring Superbad Cleveland has been canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16
Summit County
Akron
- Wednesday night's game between the Akron RubberDucks and Erie SeaWolves at UPMC Park in Erie has been postponed.
Cuyahoga Falls
- Robert Plant & Alison Krauss concert at Blossom Music Center has been cancelled
Peninsula
- Events at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park have been canceled for Wednesday including JR River Fishing, JR Challenge, Adopt-A-Trail and Campfire.
