CLEVELAND — One person has died in a six-car motor vehicle crash on Interstate 480, the Cleveland Division of Fire said Sunday morning.
According to a social media post from Cleveland Fire, a woman died after being ejected from a vehicle. A fire division spokesperson later told 3News that six other people were injured but were stable and did not require being transported for their injuries. Those six were considered "walking wounded" and remained on scene, the spokesperson said.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victim who died as 22-year-old Michelle M. Jackson of Cleveland.
According to the fire division spokesperson, the crash happened at around 8:22 a.m.
As of 12 p.m., the interstate was reopened, per ODOT.
