OVI suspect arrested after hitting Bratenahl Police car

A 31-year-old woman was issued a citation for an OVI and possession of marijuana.

BRATENAHL, Ohio — A woman has been arrested for an OVI after striking a Brathenahl Police cruiser overnight.

Brathenahl Police officials say the crash happened at I-90 East and Eddy Road at around 2:32 a.m. when a vehicle struck one of their police cars that was conducting a traffic stop.  

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Myesha Smith was arrested for an OVI after OSHP Troopers found her to be under the influence. Smith also had marijuana in her possession and was issued a citation. 

The crash was investigated by the Cleveland Division of Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
