MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — The site of the former Kmart in Middleburg Heights has been empty since 2019. Soon that building will house a new Cleveland Clinic medical center.
On Wednesday, Cleveland Clinic announced that it is collaborating with the city of Middleburg Heights and Premier Development Partners on the construction of a new 93,000-square-foot medical outpatient center.
Cleveland Clinic Middleburg Heights Family Health Center will be located at 17840 Bagley Road and is scheduled to open in 2023.
“We are excited to see the Middleburg Heights medical corridor expand with this project, and we welcome the significant investment and new professional jobs that this Cleveland Clinic facility will bring to our community,” said Middleburg Heights Mayor Matthew Castelli in a statement.
Cleveland Clinic says medical services offered at the new medical outpatient center "will be based on the healthcare needs of the community and include specialty and primary care" Imaging services, a lab and a drive-thru pharmacy will also be available.
