STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Ready to take a ride? The Cleveland Metroparks are now taking reservations to ride the toboggan chutes at The Chalet in Strongsville.
The twin, 700-foot refrigerated ice chutes will operate now through late February, weather permitting.
Reservations are required to go tobogganing at The Chalet. You can book your times now for tobogganing on November 26-27 and December 2-11.
Those who wish to toboggan during the period between Dec. 16 - Jan. 2 may make reservations starting at noon on Friday, December 2. You can get a full list of reservation dates and book your experience at The Chalet by clicking here.
The Chalet is open on the following days and times:
- Fridays: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (except 12/23 and 12/30)
- Saturdays: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (except 12/24)
- Sundays: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (except 12/25)
The Chalet will also be open during the holiday season from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, December 19 to Friday, December 23, and then again from Monday, December 26 through Friday, December 30.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for children 11 years of age and younger. The tickets are good for multiple rides on the chutes. All riders must be 42" or taller and must wear gloves or mittens that cover fingertips to ride the chutes.
Cleveland Metroparks says 1-4 riders may ride each toboggan. Each person in your group tobogganing must purchase a ticket. They add that reservations are a timed ticket and do not guarantee no lines or wait times. Your one-hour reservation time is your time to check in at the ticket booth and pick up your pre-purchased tickets.
