Cleveland Metroparks Zoo extends Asian Lantern Festival through mid-September

The Asian Lantern Festival can now be enjoyed through Saturday, September 16.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo announced the extension of the popular Asian Lantern Festival Monday morning along with the return of the "Wild Ride" one-night event.

The Asian Lantern Festival can now be enjoyed through Saturday, Sept. 16.

Tickets are available now at the prices and terms below.

  • Zoo Members - $19 for individual tickets, $60 for a four-pack
  • Non-Zoo Members - $22 for individual tickets, $70 for a four-pack
  • Same Day Tickets - $25 for individual tickets, $75 for a four-pack
  • Children under 2-years-old can be admitted for free

“Already more than 100,000 guests have enjoyed this year’s Asian Lantern Festival,” said Cleveland Metroparks Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Manderfield. “And beginning this Friday, as part of the festival, guests can check out the Zoo’s newest habitat Susie’s Bear Hollow, home to Andean and sloth bears.”

With the extension of the Asian Lantern Festival, the "Wild Ride" one-day event will return on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event is described as "a family-friendly cycling experience for all ages" by the Zoo. Guests will have the opportunity to ride through the Zoo on their bikes to experience the lanterns from the Asian Lantern Festival one last time in this special event.

  • Member tickets - $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 2-11
  • Non-member tickets - $16 for adults, $11 for kids ages 2-11
  • Children under 2-years-old can be admitted for free
