CLEVELAND — An investigation is underway after an inmate at the Cuyahoga County Jail died following a medical emergency.
Cuyahoga County officials say that a 25-year-old man experienced a medical emergency on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 3:52 p.m. An emergency response was initiated by the correctional in-house medical staff.
The inmate was transported to MetroHealth for treatment, where he later died at 4:38 p.m.
At this time, the incident is under investigation by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department.
