CLEVELAND — About 70 percent of Cuyahoga County voters are expected to cast ballots for this year’s general election.

After a month of early in-person voting, and absentee ballots cast by mail, about 66.31 percent of voters had already cast ballots by 6 p.m. today, according to the county elections board.
Polls close at 7:30 p.m.
Election officials expected the turnout to meet or exceed the 2016 turnout of 69.3 percent.
Voter turnout within the city of Cleveland was at about 51 percent. The county suburbs showed a more brisk turnout.
Long lines were reported in Rocky River and Brook Park today.
Bay Village, Highland Heights and Solon were among the suburban towns with greater than 80 percent turnout.
