Euclid man shot and killed in Warrensville Heights; police searching for suspects

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Robert Hennings, died from his injuries at South Pointe Hospital.

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 25-year-old man is dead after being shot in Warrensville Heights Thursday evening.

City officials say the victim was struck somewhere on the 20000 block of Sunset Drive around 7:23 p.m. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner confirms he was taken from a vehicle to nearby South Pointe Hospital, where he eventually died from his injuries.

The man has since been identified as Robert Hennings, of Euclid. However, authorities have not determined what led up to the shooting, not have they named any possible suspects.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to immediately call the Warrensville Heights Police Department at (216) 581-1234.
