CLEVELAND — It has been nine months since anybody has heard from Paige Coffey -- and there still aren't any strong leads in the case.
In search of answers, Coffey's mom and aunt joined the FBI and Bratenahl police for a press conference Thursday morning where it was announced a CrimeStoppers reward in the case has been doubled to $5,000.
“Words cannot express the pain we are going through, and we are grateful to all the family and friends who have been praying for her safe returning and helping us through this horrible ordeal," her aunt said while urging anybody with information to step forward.
Bratenahl Police Chief Richard Dolbow said Coffey was last seen at a local retail store in early May of 2019.
“Paige had a close relationship with her family and friends and was in frequent contact with them," Chief Dolbow said. "It is extremely unusual that nine months have passed and no one has heard or seen Paige Coffey."
At the time Coffey was first reported missing last year, authorities said she has ties to South Euclid, Macedonia, Oakwood and Copley.
“Numerous investigative leads have been conducted, but to date nothing has led to the location of Paige," Chief Dolbow said. "We strongly believe that someone in this community has a vital piece of information that law enforcement needs.”
