Garfield Heights police: 5 lawnmowers among nearly a dozen vehicles stolen from city's school district

Authorities have shared a picture of a while pickup truck they believe is connected to the pair of burglaries that took place around Christmas.

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police believe a total of 10 vehicles, including five lawnmowers, were stolen from Garfield Heights City Schools during the week of Christmas in a pair of burglaries.

Officials say the first incident occurred on Christmas Night, when the lawnmowers were taken from the district's bus garage on Turney Road. Just two days later, a second robbery resulted in the pilfering of five more unspecified vehicles, and authorities suspect the disturbances are connected.

Law enforcement have shared photos of a while pickup truck with a flat trailer they say was involved in the thefts. However, no specific details regarding the alleged perpetrators are available at this time.
