GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A dog has died after being shot during a SWAT situation, according to Garfield Heights police.
Officials say the incident happened while the SEALE (SouthEast Area Law Enforcement) SWAT team was assisting Cleveland police with serving a homicide warrant on Osborn Road in Garfield Heights.
Garfield Heights police told 3News that upon entering the home, a SWAT officer was attacked by a dog, resulting in the firing of one shot. The dog died as a result of its injuries.
Police officials confirmed that no other shots were fired by SWAT members or person(s) in the home.
