A groundbreaking ceremony to kick off changes to Cuyahoga Community College's Metro campus is scheduled for Sept. 27.
The two-year makeover begins this fall and is expected to update the Tri-C Campus Center building for increased student activity.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The renovated structure will be gutted to only its original frame and the space will be expanded by 11,000 square feet. Deconstruction is expected to be complete by year's end. The finished project will feature a glass exterior dominated by windows on the front.
The overall renovations are estimated at $38 million.
