Woman missing from Independence found safe

Law enforcement officials say that 66-year-old Beverly Cooper was found safe.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Update: Feb. 9, 8:29 a.m. 

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the missing woman was found by law enforcement officers and is safe.

A statewide Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a 66-year-old woman by the Independence Police Department.

Officials say Beverly Cooper drove away from the Holiday Inn located on Rockside Road in Independence on Sunday, Feb. 5. 

Cooper, who was temporarily residing at the hotel, suffers from a heart condition, which has law enforcement officials worrying about her safety. 

The vehicle involved is a white 2001 Toyota Rav 4 with OH plate number ERJ - 2662.

Cooper is described as standing at 5'5, weighing 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what Cooper was wearing when she was last seen. 

Anyone with information on Cooper's whereabouts or if you have seen the vehicle is asked to contact 911. Additionally, you can also call 1-888-637-1113 or 911 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency or to hear the alert information.
