CLEVELAND -- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty confirmed that Jason Duhamel, 30, of Cleveland, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Steven E. Gall.

Duhamel was sharing child pornography online, according to McGinty.

On July 26, 2012, the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Duhamel's residence and discovered more than 30 child pornography videos.

Many of the videos were organized in a folder Duhamel created and named "kid" on an external hard drive.

Duhamel was indicted on 37 counts.

On Feb. 28, 2014, a jury found Duhamel guilty of 27 counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, one count of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance and one count of Possessing Criminal Tools.

Upon his release, Duhamel will be required to register as a Tier II Sexual Offender.

Assistant County Prosecutors Brett Kyker, who is also the Director of Ohio ICAC, and Holly Welsh represented the State of Ohio.
