CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County medical examiner has released the cause of death of a 22-year-old woman who died after collapsing near the finish line of the 2019 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon back in May.
According to the medical examiner, Taylor Ceepo died of "sudden cardiac death in association with physical exertion, pseudoephedrine use, and cardiomyopathy" and ruled the cause as accidental.
A spokesman for the medical examiner says the autopsy report has not yet been completed and no further information is available at this time.
Ceepo, who recently graduated from Walsh University, was a biology major with minors in both psychology and chemistry. The Medina native also played on the women's soccer team.
