EAST CLEVELAND -- Unless you have a true medical emergency that requires transportation, do not call 911.
That's the message being sent to the public from East Cleveland because the city has no working ambulance.
The department says, however, it will still send an engine, paramedics and all necessary equipment when responding to emergency calls.
“We are currently relying on mutual aid ambulances from the surrounding communities, and they must be utilized for serious medical calls only,” according to the East Cleveland Fire Department’s Facebook page.
