The fire broke out on Tennyson Lane on Tuesday morning. Officials said hoarding conditions made it nearly impossible to fight the flames from within.

Officials say that a female firefighter was taken to the hospital after falling from a ladder. Her condition is said to be stable.

Westlake's assistant fire chief told 3News that gunpowder and propane tanks were found inside the home. Two people inside escaped safely, but only three cats were found alive.

At this time, the fire remains under investigation, though authorities say the home will likely have to be torn down.
