OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio — A Northeast Ohio institute will soon be featured on national TV.

On Wednesday, Swings-N-Things Fun Park in Olmsted Falls announced that it has been named the "World's Greatest Family Entertainment Center" by the national TV show "World's Greatest." Swings-N-Things will be featured on an upcoming episode of the show, which airs on the Ion Network and streaming platforms, this fall.

Originally opening as a freestanding batting cage in 1982, Swings-N-Things has since transformed into a 13-acre park. Open year-round, the family-owned and operated establishment features miniature golf courses, go-kart tracks, bumper boats, a batting range, outdoor laser tag, paintball, a large indoor game room and a homemade ice cream shoppe.

“For 41 years we’ve been dedicated to making Swings-N-Things a special place for families right here in Northeast Ohio,” owner Tim Sorge said in a statement. “It feels really great to know what we have spent years building is being recognized on such a world-wide level. We had no idea this was coming our way and we are honored and excited to celebrate.”

Now in its 18th season, "World's Greatest" is a 30-minute show "dedicated to highlighting the world’s greatest companies, products, places and people." According to a release, producers from the show research more than 75,000 businesses and hundreds of industries worldwide "to determine which companies are the best of the best."

Producers from "World's Greatest" will be on site at Swings-N-Things, located at 8501 Stearns Rd., on July 22, to film the upcoming episode. The public is encouraged to attend and join in on the fun.
