Earlier this week, authorities confirmed that "irate" parents called them around 4:45 p.m. claiming a worker at Play Academy on Pearl Road had kicked their toddler. By the time officers arrived at the scene, they reported the child "did not appear to be injured and did not need medical attention."

According to the department's call log, the boy's father refused to leave the day care until police arrived, and the parents ended up filing an incident report. Play Academy's owner as well as other higher-ups were also made aware of the allegations.
