PARMA, Ohio — A $1 million bond has been set for Dameon Anthony Kijanski, a 23-year-old Cleveland man accused of shooting two teens in Parma.

According to Parma police, Kijanski has been charged with two counts of felonious assault.

Kijanski's case has also been bound over to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Officials note that additional charges may be filed.

CASE DETAILS

The shooting that resulted in two teenagers being sent to a hospital happened in Parma on Friday, Nov. 29.

According to a release from the Parma Police Department, a 19-year-old victim called 911 dispatchers at around 11:19 p.m. to report that both he and his cousin had been shot.

Police were then dispatched to West Ridgewood Drive just west of Ridge Road.

The 19-year-old victim had been shot in the left arm, while his cousin, 18, was shot in the left thigh, according to police. The teens were taken to be treated for gunshot wounds at a Cleveland hospital. On Tuesday, Parma police provided an update stating that both victims had been released from the hospital.

Parma police previously stated that the teen victims did not know the suspect and the alleged shooting "appears to be unprovoked."

Police alleged the teens were walking along West Ridgewood Drive and the 23-year-old suspect was walking on the other side of the street. The 23-year-old man allegedly "began yelling at the victims shortly before firing three shots at the males."

The suspect was found and arrested at the RTA Transit Center on Day Drive shortly after police had a description. Police say a 9mm handgun was found along a path between the RTA station and the location of the shooting.
