Bay Village police capture fugitive suspect from Lorain

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — The Bay Village Police Department has announced the capture of a suspect that was fleeing from Lorain on Monday morning. 

Just before 11:00 a.m., Lorain police officers were in pursuit of a red Toyota going eastbound on Lake Road. The driver crashed his car in the front yard of a house in the area of Lake Rd. and Glen Park Road. 

The suspect got out of his car and ran eastbound before being taken into custody in the backyard of a house in the 300 block of Kenilworth. 

The male suspect was turned over to Lorain Police Department. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
