LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Matt Fish with Melt Bar and Grilled is looking ahead to a new reinvented experience at his location in Lakewood.
This comes after he had to close multiple locations in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Fish is left with one restaurant. It was the one that started it all in Lakewood.
After closing the restaurant for a week, it reopens on September 9. Fish tells 3News that customers can expect to see their favorite items albeit with upgraded quality. He also noted the restaurant now features new decor, as he promises a "bigger, better" experience for all.
The reopening comes three months after the popular grilled cheese restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy in June and two months after it closed its Akron and Mentor locations in July. Last week, Fish spoke to WKYC contributor Doug Trattner about his restaurant's reopening.
“I want to elevate the food, I want to increase the food quality, I want to go back to basics, and I want to go back to what I originally wanted Melt to be,” Fish said.
