A teenager punched a Solon Police Officer on Saturday night at Solon Home Days.
According to Solon Police Department officials, while officers were dealing with a group of "disorderly" juveniles, a teenager struck one of the Solon police officers in the face with a punch.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m., 15 minutes before the festival's close. Due to the activity, the festival closed early.
A 14-year-old boy from Mayfield Heights and a 16-year-old boy from South Euclid was arrested in connection to the incident, but were released to their parents.
"Charges will be referred to Juvenile Court for Disorderly Conduct (M4) against both," said Solon Police Department officials. "Assault against a police officer charges (F4) will be recommended against the 14-year-old. Resisting charges and obstructing charges (both Misdemeanor 2) will be recommended against the 16-year-old."
The officer that was punched does not have any severe injuries.
