WESTLAKE, Ohio — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a previous story.
The greatest heavyweight in UFC history has a new home. On Tuesday, the City of Westlake took to its official Facebook page to announce that Stipe Miocic has been sworn in as one of its newest firefighters.

The 39-year-old Miocic has famously balanced his duties as a full-time firefighter in Northeast Ohio while also building one of the most impressive resumes in the history of professional mixed martial arts. Prior to being sworn in in Westlake, he worked at the Oakwood and Valley View Fire Departments.
A two-time UFC heavyweight champion, Miocic hasn't fought since losing the title to Francis Ngannou via knockout at UFC 260 last March. Prior to his loss to Ngannou, the Independence native had amassed the most heavyweight title defenses in UFC history with four.
"He's the greatest heavyweight champion of all time," UFC President Dana White told 3News' Jim Donovan ahead of Miocic's fight with Ngannou last year. "Not just in the UFC, but in the entire sport. He's a great ambassador for the sport and the brand. Just such a good human being, such a regular guy and you couldn't ask for more from any of your champions."
While it's been nearly a year since Miocic's last appearance in the octagon, he has been linked to a potential dream fight against Jon "Bones" Jones in recent weeks. Taking to Twitter earlier this month, Jones teased the rumored fight against Miocic, which he dubbed "the greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight."
