STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — A Strongsville High School staff member has been put on administrative leave amid allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.
In a letter to the district's famillies, Strongsville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Cameron Ryba says the allegations are from when the staff member was working at another school district.
"Although the allegation does not involve any current or former Strongsville students, we take all allegations of inappropriate behavior seriously and investigate them thoroughly," Ryba wrote.
The district has initiated an internal investigation and has notified the Strongsville Police Department about the allegations. The staff member on leave is not permitted to be on school grounds or facilities and is not to have contact with students during the investigation.

Dear Strongsville Families:
I am writing today to inform you that a member of our Strongsville High School Staff has been placed on paid administrative leave as a result of allegations of an inappropriate relationship involving a student when the individual was employed by another school district.
Ensuring the health and safety of our students is the top priority for the Strongsville City School District. Although the allegation does not involve any current or former Strongsville students, we take all allegations of inappropriate behavior seriously and investigate them thoroughly.
In accordance with school board policy, the Strongsville City School District has initiated an internal investigation. In addition, the Strongsville City Police Department has been notified regarding the allegations. The staff member will not be permitted on any school grounds or facilities and is not to have contact with students during the investigation.
