STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Extra police presence will be at Strongsville High School Thursday after the school administration were told of a threatening post made on an anonymous messaging app called "Street Chat" a day earlier.

The post, which has since been removed, alleged a "shooting threat" to take place Thursday morning at the school.

Strongsville Superintendent John Krupinski sent out an email of the incident to staff and guardians, notifying that six Strongsville police officers and the school resource officer will be on alert.

An ongoing investigation remains underway.

Administrators said they are working with "Street Chat" to identify the author of the threatening post.
