BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio — Brooklyn Heights police are trying to find single father of three, Calvin Jones, after his family reported him missing following his shift working as a pizza delivery driver.
Jones has been missing for a week. His car has not been located, and his cellphone is disabled.
"Our family is not complete without him here," Jones' mother, Donna Ayers said.
A police report shows Jones was last seen on surveillance video at Georgio's Oven Fresh Pizza near Garfield Heights, where he has worked for almost a decade as a delivery driver. Officials say he dropped off a pizza at his home at about 10 p.m. on Aug. 20.
He was then spotted on surveillance video at 11:30 p.m. at the pizza shop, with his son calling him minutes later. Jones has not been heard from again following that phone call.
"These kids, these kids are his life," Ayers told 3News. "There's no way he'd go this long, even a day, without his kids knowing where he's at."
Ayers reported her son missing the following day, Aug. 21, after one of Jones' sons called her saying their dad was not answering calls or texts. During a police investigation, Jones' silver 2011 Chevy Impala with an Ohio license plate number of HGF2869 was spotted by a camera at Broadway Avenue near McCracken Road going westbound at around 11:30 a.m. on the 21st, according to the report.
Jones' phone last pinged on Broadway in Bedford at 1:30 p.m. that same day. He was scheduled to work on the 22nd, but never showed up for the shift, according to the report.
"There's no way someone doesn’t know where my son is," Ayers said.
Per the police report, Jones recently started seeing a new girlfriend. He has multiple tattoos on both arms and legs, a scar on the top of his head, and his left ear pierced.
Ayers says she doesn't understand how Jones would just disappear, but she's hopeful he'll be found safe. One of Jones' sons has also set up a GoFundMe to raise awareness about the situation.
