SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — Exclusive video obtained by 3News shows a disturbing fight behind the counter of a McDonald's restaurant in South Euclid that took place last month.
The incident shut the restaurant down for hours and sent as many as 40 kids running when police arrived on scene. Four teen girls were arrested, and some as young as 10 years old are facing charges for failure to disperse.
The fight occurred around 5 p.m. on Oct. 22 inside the McDonald's on Mayfield Road. Witnesses said the four suspects started a fight with two teen sisters, who claimed they did not known their alleged assailants. Video of the brawl as well as police body camera video of the aftermath was released just this week.
The full-fledged spectacle led management to alter service hours, closing the inside lobby to customers every day between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and forcing them to use the drive-thru. According to authorities, due to the amount of time and manpower needed to investigate the fight, several individuals could be charged with aggravated riot or endangering children.
