WESTLAKE, Ohio — Police officers are called on to perform a variety of tasks during the course of a day. Seldom do they get the opportunity to rescue a family of ducklings.
On Wednesday, the Westlake Police Department captured video on its Facebook page of one of its officers who jumped into action on Center Ridge Road to assist a family of ducklings that were trying to get over the curb and onto the sidewalk.
"One of our fearless K9 officers risks life and limb to rescue several wild animals on Center Ridge Rd. Good job Ptl. Funari on helping those in need," the post wrote.
Well, they weren't exactly wild animals, but we salute Patrolman Funari for jumping into action.
