Westlake police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a Spectrum Cable bucket truck Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the incident occurred at the intersection of Detroit Road and Hamlet Lane. Witnesses at the scene attempted to revive the 72-year-old victim, but she died from her injuries. Her identity is not known at this time, although police say she was visiting from out of town.
Authorities say both the driver of the vehicle involved and Spectrum are cooperating with the investigation. Detroit Road was closed between Melrose and Clubside Drives for more than three hours while the scene was processed.
