CLEVELAND — A worker was taken to a hospital Thursday after he was trapped underneath a piece of equipment while working at a cemetery in Brook Park, police said.
The extent of the worker's injuries as well as his current condition are "unknown," the Brook Park Police Department said in a news release.
According to the police department, firefighters and police officers were dispatched to Holy Cross Cemetery just after noon on Thursday after receiving a report about the trapped worker.
Other workers had freed the victim and began administering first aid by the time first responders arrived. Paramedics from the Brook Park Fire Department took over treatment and the injured worker was taken to a local hospital.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the incident and expect to release more information on Friday afternoon.
