Cuyahoga Falls Police looking for suspect accused of tying a woman up, assaulting her for nearly two days

The woman told police that she knew the person who assaulted her, and an arrest warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Stacey Roper.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 28-year-old man who is accused of tying a woman up in her residence and assaulting her for nearly two days. 

According to a press release from CFPD, officers were called to the Brookpoint Condominiums around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday to conduct a welfare check on a resident. Upon arrival, the female resident told officers that a known house-guest, now identified as 28-year-old Stacey Roper, had tied her up and assaulted her for a period of 24-48 hours. 

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

CFPD later conducted a search of the suspect's home after obtaining a search warrant but were unable to find Roper. 

A kidnapping warrant has now been issued for the 28-year-old, and officials say the investigation is ongoing.
