CLEVELAND — Our own Dave Chudowsky is mourning the loss of his father after he passed away earlier this week at the age of 89.
He took a moment to pay tribute to his dad Friday morning.
“19 months ago, I shared with you that my mom passed away. Less than two years later, I’m sad to say my dad is now gone. He passed away on Monday at the age of 89. Ron lived a great life, most of it living here in Northeast Ohio. He would do anything for his four children and cherished all the time with his grandchildren. My love of sports, it’s because of him. He loved to talk. He passed that on to me as well. The greatest gift he taught me: How to be a dad. I’m grateful. A huge man of faith, he spent his entire life preparing for Heaven. I know for sure he’s there now.”
Dave said he has a lot of great memories with his dad.
"My dream was to be a sportscaster in Cleveland, Ohio. He got to watch me do that for 11 years, then transitioned with me to this show. I can’t tell you how much he loved you guys. He loved this show. Loved coming to channel 3."
We love you, Dave.
