An "urgent evacuation notice" that was issued on Sunday evening by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine for residents of East Palestine has now been expanded.
East Palestine officials call for anyone living near a danger train derailment where a train was carrying vinyl chloride to leave the area, now that a controlled release of the dangerous chemical has been scheduled for 3:30 pm today.
A dramatic temperature change was noticed in a rail car in the wreckage of the crash. Officials warn of a "catastrophic tanker failure," which has the potential to cause a deadly explosion of shrapnel capable of travelling up to a mile in all directions.
