Geauga County Sheriff, Scott Hildenbrand has confirmed that two people have been arrested in connection with mysterious explosions occurring in the area.
One of the suspects was charged with the sale of illegal explosives, while the second suspect faces charges for the manufacture of illegal explosives.
Neither of the suspects have been identified at this time and no further information is available.
Officials are scheduled to hold a press briefing on Monday, February 8 with more details.
News of the arrests comes after officials received several reports from residents regarding the explosions in Hambden and Claridon townships.
One of the reported explosions was captured on camera from a home surveillance system. Hildenbrand said homeowners are concerned and worried.
"They're, number one, annoyed," said Hildenbrand. "Number two, it scares them because these explosions are shaking their windows. And they’re afraid someone is going to get hurt."
