MONTVILLE, Ohio — On Tuesday morning, crews were on scene battling a fire at Plank Road Tavern in Montville.
According to officials, nearly 20 fire departments responded to the blaze that broke out just after 4 a.m.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
Trumbull Township Fire Chief Clinton Rose told 3News that the scene is now under control.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but officials say the building is likely a total loss.
The Geauga County Fire Investigative Unit and State Fire Marshal are investigating the fire.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Trumbull Township Fire and Rescue asked everyone to avoid the area.
Due to the fire, Route 6 was closed in both directions from Plank Road to Madison Road. The road has since reopened.
