PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A 17-year-old was shot in the leg after multiple gunshots were fired at Lake Dine & Dance in Painesville in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said that it was dispatched alongside Painesville Township Fire at 1:09 a.m. on July 5 following a report of multiple people with weapons and multiple shots fired at Lake Dine & Dance, located at 520 Fairport-Nursery Road. The Painesville City Police Department and Fairport Harbor Police Department also reported to the scene, where a 17-year-old female who had been shot in the leg was found.
The victim was transported to the Tripoint Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the disturbance remains unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
