WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio — Willoughby Hills police are investigating after a 53-year-old woman was killed in a fatal accident on Saturday morning.
Police say officers located a 2003 Maroon Saturn Ion in the median between the local and express lanes on I-90 East near the 189-mile marker at around 5:33 a.m. on Saturday.
According to preliminary investigations, the vehicle came off the bridge from I-90 East to continue toward SOM Center Road before it lost control. The car traveled across all lanes before striking a concrete wall.
The Willoughby Hills Fire Department extracted the unconscious woman from the vehicle. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Lake West Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
