VIDEO | Car upturns in Mentor during severe storms in Northeast Ohio

Mentor officials told 3News that a tree fell as the car was passing and the entanglement of wires resulted in the car being upturned.

MENTOR, Ohio — An upturned vehicle was caught on camera in Mentor after severe weather and storms swept across Northeast Ohio.

Video of the aftermath was captured by Samantha Dispenza off Bellflower Road.

Mentor officials told 3News that a tree fell as the car was passing, and the entanglement of wires resulted in the car being upturned.  

"Our thanks to First Energy for their assistance and work to clear utility lines and equipment so the vehicle could be removed," said Mentor fire.

The driver was not injured and was extricated from the vehicle. 

Mentor fire said that this was one of 132 calls that their department responded to on Tuesday.
