FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio — Hazmat crews and fire departments responded to a chemical leak in Lake County on Thursday morning.
Willoughby Hills Fire Chief Robert Gandee confirmed to 3News that there was a chemical leak at a water treatment plant in Fairport Harbor.
Officials told 3News that a chlorine canister broke at the facility, resulting in an evacuation.
According to police, there was no water contaminated from the chemical spill and no reports of injuries.
At this time, crews are cleaning up from the spill.
