CONCORD, Ohio — State patrol troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Friday morning at the intersection of Prouty and Morley Roads in Concord Township.
Troopers say the collision occurred when a 36-year-old woman from Concord was traveling eastbound on Prouty Road, driving a Dodge Grand Caravan.
Harold R. Sikula, 71 of Concord Township, was traveling westbound on Prouty Road, riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Troopers say the preliminary investigation shows that the driver of the van failed to yield at a green light when turning left at the intersection and was struck by the motorcycle, ejecting Sikula.
Mr. Sikula was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Doge was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to TriPoint Medical Center for minor injuries.
