The sexual battery charges against him were dismissed.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Joan Synenberg sentenced Piczer to two years on probation. He will also have to report to jail for a three-day sanction, pay a $1,000 fine and surrender his teaching license.

Piczer was also ordered not to contact the victim and to write an apology letter.

CASE DETAILS

Court records show the allegations of the offense involving Piczer and a student date back to Oct. 22. Piczer had been placed on administrative leave after the allegations were made, but he was later terminated from the school on Dec. 21, according to the Diocese of Cleveland.

"The safety and well-being of its students is always the highest priority for the administration at Lake Catholic High School, and its leaders will not hesitate to act in their best interests," said the Diocese of Cleveland in a previous statement.

The Mentor Police Department previously told 3News that they investigated the matter and determined that any inappropriate contact that may have occurred would have happened in Lakewood. Following their investigation, Mentor police turned over the case to the Lakewood Police Department.

After being indicted on four counts of sexual battery, a $25,000 bond was set for Piczer in January.
