PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A Lake Catholic High School teacher has been terminated from his job following an investigation into "inappropriate behavior."
The Diocese of Cleveland told 3News that Andrew Piczer was placed on administrative leave after allegations of inappropriate behavior were made. After findings of a police investigation, Piczer's employment at Lake Catholic High School was terminated on Dec. 21.
The Mentor Police Department previously told 3News that they investigated the matter and determined that any inappropriate contact that may have occurred would have happened in Lakewood. Following their investigation, Mentor police turned over the case to the Lakewood Police Department.
3News has reached out to the Lakewood Police Department and is waiting to learn more details.

"The safety and wellbeing of its students is always the highest priority for the administration at Lake Catholic High School, and its leaders will not hesitate to act in their best interests. When allegations of inappropriate behavior by one of its teachers were recently made, the school immediately contacted local law enforcement and placed the teacher, Andrew Piczer, on administrative leave pending further investigation.
Based on the results of a police investigation, Mr. Piczer’s employment at Lake Catholic High School was terminated on Dec. 21.
Lake Catholic and its leadership team take all allegations of inappropriate behavior very seriously, and will take every step necessary to ensure the welfare and security of its students and staff."
