LAKE COUNTY, Ohio -- About 35 percent of the homes in Lake County were without power late Monday morning because a transmission line that feeds multiple substations has failed.
FisrtEnergy got the problem mostly fixed by 2:30 p.m. As of 2:30 p.m., only 4,000 were without power and 3,000 of those were in Mentor.
Mentor was the hardest hit with about 21,000 without power at the worst point.
By 4 p.m., all but a handful of customers across all of Northeast Ohio were still without power.
