CLEVELAND — The Facebook post from the Lake County Sheriff's Office was short, simple and hopefully effective.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook on Tuesday to send a message and perhaps teach a lesson to the public at a time when scammers are hoping to take advantage of people simply sitting at home online during quarantine and stay-at-home orders.
Creatively, the Lake County Sheriff's Office introduced the Facebook post saying, "Since everyone is quarantining and spending time playing trivia games on their phones, why not try this one!"
In a time where people are bored at home and taking part in popular Facebook games that give out personal information, the Lake County Sheriff's Office fired back to send a message that eventually read:
STOP. GIVING. PEOPLE. YOUR. PERSONAL. INFO. TO. GUESS. YOUR. PASSWORD. AND. SECURITY. QUESTIONS.
Many people are falling for these games that could create golden opportunities for scammers to hack into your personal information.
